Tohoku University and Sendai City are co-hosting a career support seminar for Tohoku University students titled “City Hall Work! – Behind the Scenes of City Planning in Sendai.” The event will be held on Friday, October 31st.
Have you ever wondered what kind of work goes on at Sendai City Hall? What motivates senior staff members in their jobs? Come and hear from senior city employees who are Tohoku University alumni (OB/OG) about the “behind-the-scenes” of city planning in Sendai and the rewards of public service.

Location Part 1: Various Sendai City Hall Buildings [Meet at 15:50 on the 1st floor of the Kamisugi Branch Office]
Part 2: Sendai City Support Center for Citizens’ Activities [Meet at 18:20 at the Seminar Hall on the 6th floor of the Sendai City Support Center for Citizens’ Activities]
Eligibility 60 Tohoku University Students (First-come, first-served)
Program Part 1 (16:00-17:00): Workplace Tour
Part 2 (18:30-20:30): Talk Session and Casual Discussion with Alumni Staff (OB/OG) (Entry/exit permitted during this session)
