Career Japanese Course for International Students

Career Japanese Course (6 sessions) – begins October 20 (Mon)!

・Want to learn more practical Japanese for job hunting in Japan?
・Not sure how to start job hunting?
・Have a Japanese qualification but feel unsure about writing emails or answering phone calls?
・Want to understand Japanese business manners that are different from your home country?

This 6-session “Career Japanese Course” will help you practice the Japanese you’ll need in job-hunting situations and learn how to respond appropriately in each scenario.

■Language:Japanese and English (with Chinese support available)
■Format    :in person or online
■Venue     :Kawauchi North Campus, Student Support Center, 4th Floor
■All international students at Tohoku University are welcome to join.
 But, If you do not have Japanese proficiency at the N3 level or higher (or equivalent), it may be difficult to fully understand the class.
■Each session is limited to 50 participants. Please apply early if you wish to join.

Session 1: Oct. 20 (Mon), 18:30–19:30
Self-analysis, career motivation, and entry sheet writing

Session 2: Oct. 28 (Tue), 18:30–19:30
Building a career in Japan & writing business emails

Session 3: Nov. 10 (Mon), 18:30–19:30
Entry sheet writing practice

Session 4: Nov. 17 (Mon) Advanced: 12:00– / Beginner: 18:30–
SPI preparation

Session 5: Dec. 1 (Mon), 18:30–19:30
Business manners & interview practice

Special Session: Jan. 16 (Fri), 2026 (Morning session for Basic or Afternoon Session for Advanced)
Practical interview training

but if you attend all 6 sessions, you will receive a mobile battery as a gift! 🎁

In addition, a faculty member from the Career Support Office will serve as a mentor to support your job-hunting process.
